I’ve started collecting photos of things people leave in public spaces. I don’t know what will become of it, if anything, but I want to acknowledge the impetus to record the moment, without needing to have a plan in mind for what I’ll do with it.

It’s about finding that balance between risking a banal or clichéd subject, and giving yourself permission to photograph whatever you like, without needing permission or to hit some expected quality bar.

That being said – I am trying not to let this turn into a document of fly tipping.
